Where can you fill up?

Italy's fuel cards are led by the oil brands (Enilive, IP, Q8, Esso, Tamoil), and Edenred now stands behind UTA, IP Plus and the Esso Card. Italian issuers rarely publish card fees.

Enilive Multicard (Easy, Fleet, Truck): 'circa 4.000 stazioni' in Italy (other pages 3,800 to 4,200), 'oltre 5.000 Enilive Station in Europa' and 'circa 21.000 stazioni' with Routex partners in 34 countries; Routex's Italian page says about 30,000 in 32. Association terms from 2021 (possibly outdated) list €6 per card a year plus €15 a quarter, and €20 a year for Easy. Fortnightly invoicing.¹²³⁴

IP Plus: 'oltre 4.600 distributori' on the IP Plus site (about 5,000 on its home page), excluding IP Matic; Edenred bought IP's energy-card business in Dec 2024. IP Plus Fast for micro-businesses has no fixed costs; the main IP Plus card's fees aren't published. Esso Card: issued by Edenred Mobility Italia under ExxonMobil licence from 1 Jan 2026 across 'oltre 2.000 stazioni di servizio Esso' (Retitalia page about 9 months old); fees not published.⁵⁶⁷⁸

CartissimaQ8 and the prepaid RecardQ8 ('no extra costs'): Q8's site says about 3,000 Q8 and Q8easy stations, Radius 'oltre 3.500 stazioni Q8 e 800 Q8 Easy', and WEX '3.400 stazioni' including selected Tamoil and Europam sites. Shell Card: no Italian count on Shell's current page (old euroShell figures are outdated). Tamoil Italia: 1,587 stations (press report); card terms not read.⁹¹⁰¹¹¹²

The Telepass app pays for fuel at 'oltre 7.500 stazioni' (2026, per ItaliaOggi). Older guidance says app receipts aren't valid for VAT on their own, so ask for an e-invoice.¹³
Cards: Not a fuel card; fees not researched.

Multi-brand cards

DKV Card (Italy) About 10,000 to 12,500 Italian stations (third-party; DKV gives no count). At some stations DKV applies its own daily price instead of the pump price.¹⁴¹⁵

Cross-refuelling in short

UTA (Edenred) says 'Oltre 12.000 distributori convenzionati in tutta Italia', including independent 'pompe bianche'; fees not published. With Edenred now behind UTA, IP Plus and the Esso Card, acceptance may change, so check the locator. Abroad, Enilive (Routex) and Esso Card Europe go furthest. Tax (check current rules with your accountant): VAT on fuel is generally 40% deductible for mixed-use cars and 100% for vehicles used only for business, with traceable payment and an e-invoice; one source says 50% from 2026. The 2026 haulier diesel tax credit and the autumn 2026 pump-price cuts are temporary measures: check current rules before relying on them.¹⁶¹⁷
